Early 1980sLearning by programming

Early work included BASIC on an Apple II, alongside COBOL and FORTRAN.

1987A foundation in computer science

B.A. in Computer Science with a German minor, Lycoming College, 1987.

1987–1990Custom programming and business systems

Managed computer sales and custom programming as microcomputer database work developed toward multi-user business applications.

1990–2020Three decades in support and software quality

Work in technical support, software quality assurance, and the operation and improvement of systems serving K–12 organizations.

1990 onwardIndependent software building

WPH Consulting work includes packaged and custom database software, business and nonprofit applications, an Android app and independent publishing.

2020 onwardTechnology leadership and continuing independent work

Technology leadership informed by software development, quality assurance, databases, infrastructure and operations. Current independent work includes local AI and the Personal Life Operating System.
